ESS Systems Integration Expands Operations

MetroPower’s recent acquisition of G&G Electronics, Inc. based in Columbus, Georgia, allows us to expand our nurse call and fire alarm operations with key manufacturing partners Rauland-Borg and Notifier. Specifically, we will now be the primary distributor and certified installer of these systems throughout South Georgia and the Florida panhandle.

“We’ve developed strong relationships and a reputation for superior service during the 25 years we’ve operated in South Georgia and North Florida,” said Andy Boyett, branch manager for ESS. “Our team is excited to be able to offer our current customers more services while expanding our leadership to new markets.”

As part of the acquisition, MetroPower’s ESS team welcomes four G&G Electronics employees to its team:

  • Randy Campbell, operations manager
  • Gary Bryan, lead technician
  • Gina Kite, Education market sales
  • Ann Massey, office and administrative support in Columbus

Additionally, Mike Gaultney and Tommy Gaultney have been retained as contractors to assist in completing the transition.

MetroPower has hired Tommy Thornton to serve as the healthcare sales representative for the Columbus/West territory while also serving as the head of the security and access control market for the entire ESS operation. Tommy brings a wealth of industry experience and familiarity with our customer base.

Greg Greenway will be leading the initiative to expand our current data and fiber offering, and develop a full staff to serve this new territory.
