In these challenging times, servant leadership is
more important than ever. On June 10-13, 2009, a large
group of employees from MetroPower, Inc. attended the
Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership 19th Annual
International Conference held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Attendees
returned home with a sense of renewed energy and commitment
and a deeper understanding of the principles
and practices of servant leadership, as well as practical
ideas to implement at MetroPower, Inc. and the communities
where we serve.
The 20th Annual International Conference will be held
in Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia, June 16-18, 2010. The
pre-conference on June 16 will consist of a day in Columbus,
Georgia, a servant-leader city. The regular conference
will be held the next two days, June 17-18, at the Sheraton
Atlanta. There will be five featured speakers and more
than 20 concurrent workshops. The conference will conclude
on Friday night, June 18, with a Celebration Dinner. We
plan for MetroPower, Inc. to be well represented at the
