MaconPower hosted a reception at the Museum of Arts
and Sciences for the PieperPower Photorealist Watercolor
Color Collection on Friday evening, August 21, 2009.
The
watercolors on exhibit are from the collection of PPC
Partners. Mr. Richard Pieper, Sr., retired chairman
of the company, helped start the collections. Mr. Pieper
had several intentions in mind when he began the collection
of paintings.
“First, the
art works should be displayed in the company headquarters.
Second, the completed collection would be lent to
museums. And third, the collection will be donated
to a museum or public institution.”
Mr. Pieper
was in attendance for the reception along with MaconPower
employees, customers, and friends. The
guests enjoyed a unique private opportunity to appreciate
the exhibition and a special presentation was given
by Mr. Pieper.
The PieperPower Collection will be
on exhibit at the Museum of Arts and Sciences until
September 20th. Its
next destination is Greenville, South Carolina at the
Greenville County Museum of Art which will open November
10, 2009.
