MetroPower recognizes that safety is of the highest importance.  We believe safety is a moral obligation. Because of this belief, we pledge to maintain the highest of standards to ensure safe working conditions for our employees, our customers and the general public.  The number one accountability and responsibility of each employee in MetroPower is safety.

MetroPower continually seeks to maintain a safe work environment  through full time safety personnel, a safety council, safety scorecards and daily job tasks pre-planning. We provide our employees with the tools and protective equipment necessary to complete tasks in a safe manner. Today’s rapidly changing technology demands continual renewal of skills and constant knowledge exchange.

As a result of our safety record, our Experience Modification Rate (EMR)  is .63 which is among the best in the industry.  Our commitment to safety is constant and non-negotiable. 

Safety Honors and Awards
 

Recently MetroPower received the highest honor awarded in safety from the Georgia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors by being recognized as the safest company in the 400,000  man-hour category (the highest man-hour category) for 2008.  We achieved this honor while working more than 1.2 million hours in 2008. MetroPower has received this same honor in years 2002-2006, 1999, 1998 and 1996.
