First Coast Orthopedic Surgery Center in Jacksonville, FL

MetroPower branch 7 is making great strides in the healthcare industry, working with Robins & Morton on the First Coast Orthopedic Surgery Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Robins & Morton was ranked as the #2 contractor by Modern Healthcare 2019.

The new construction project is 12,500 square feet and includes three full operating/surgical rooms as well as ten pre and post-surgical rooms.

“This project is on a tight timeline,” said Micah Dean, project manager. “We’ve been heavily involved with the OPS schedule, and have been helping the GC design a reasonable schedule. And we plan to ramp up our manpower – we are even prepared to start a seven-day work weeks if needed.”

On average, MetroPower has had five employees on-site, but plan to ramp up to eight within the next month.

“The majority of this group is new to MetroPower, but came ready to work together and exceed customer expectations,” said Spinks Holman, branch manager. “This is a great opportunity to realize our growth goals in the Jacksonville market, and this group is ready to rise to the occasion.”

Another opportunity in Jacksonville is the ability to grow our industrial footprint. Jacksonville was specifically targeted due to the high concentration of pulp and paper customers, and we are currently working at the Georgia Pacific Palatka Mill in Palatka, Florida.

In addition to healthcare and industrial, we are pursuing opportunities in the Federal and mission critical industries. The office has seven full time employees and relies on resources from other MetroPower branches as needed.
